Olive Tree Pruning Workshop
This hands-on workshop is designed for anyone interested in learning how to properly prune olive trees, from beginners to small-scale growers. Participants will discover why pruning is essential for the health, structure, and productivity of olive trees, as well as when and how it should be done throughout the year.
The session combines theory and practice. First, participants will learn the basics of olive tree growth, the different pruning objectives (maintenance, shaping, and rejuvenation), and how to identify branches that should be removed. Then, under the guidance of an experienced instructor, they will practice correct pruning techniques directly on olive trees using professional tools. Safety tips and tool maintenance will also be covered.
By the end of the workshop, participants will feel confident in applying what they’ve learned to their own olive trees, helping them grow stronger, produce better fruit, and live longer.
